Özet
This chapter presents a novel, high-frequency Economic Confidence Index (ECI) constructed using natural language processing (NLP) and sentiment analysis on economic news articles for Turkish economy. Inspired by the S&P Twitter Sentiment Index, the model captures fluctuations in economic sentiment by analyzing public discourse in near real-time using large volumes of textual data scraped daily from Turkish news sites to create a web-based, artificial intelligence-driven index.
