Problems that women have, are on the agenda in Turkey; especially rape, abuse and violence have been came forward in 2010's. The type of art which includes participation and publicity, has been observed about making awairness on public topics, and in it, women problems. Especially, Suzanne Lacy who defines these kind of works as "New genre public art", has taken attention with her works focus on women lives and problems. This article aims to emphasis the women problems which Lacy deals with are similar in all over the World and the possibility of New genre public art can be used in Turkey too to make awairness to the similar problems. In this research, 6 works from 2 series, one is based on rape and the other one is women above 65 years, have been examined. Thus, the research is thought to help the recognition of art which haddle with public problems by community based way.
