Abstract

Water distilled oil obtained from the aerial parts of Origanumx adanense, a newly described endemic hybrid in Turkey, was analyzed by GC/MS. One hundred and thirty six compounds representing 95.2% of the oil were identified with carvacrol (17.3%) and bicyclogermacrene (9.3%) as main constituents.
