Abstract

A method is presented for scattering of a plane wave by a perfectly conducting cylinder (PEC) buried near a two-media interface. Surface equivalence principle is employed to form a set of coupled integral equations. The unknown perturbed equivalent electric currents over the infinite interface are expressed in terms of the difference in current with cylinder present case and the exact physical optics (PO) solution with cylinder removed. Data for the induced current on a buried strip and the perturbed currents are presented for verification.
