Abstract

Nowadays, with the increase in competition conditions, businesses are evolving towards a more complex structure. It is an undeniable fact that person-job fit, person-organisation fit, person-supervisor fit and person-group fit play an important role in maintaining the current employment and increasing the success of the organisation. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the effect of person-job fit, person-organisation fit, person-supervisor fit and person-group fit on turnover intention and to determine the mediating role of job alienation. For this purpose, quantitative research methods were selected from the research methods and a questionnaire form was used as a data collection tool. The questionnaire prepared as a 5-point Likert scale was applied to 423 employees and the data were analysed using SPSS software. As a result, it is seen that there is a negative relationship between person-job fit, person-organisation fit, person-supervisor fit, person-group fit and turnover intention and job alienation, and a positive relationship between turnover intention and job alienation. In addition, it was determined that alienation has a partial mediating role in the effect of person-job fit and person-organisation fit on turnover intention; and person-supervisor fit and person-group fit have a full mediating role in the effect of turnover intention.
