Fatih ÖZER graduated from Uşak Anatolian Teacher Training High School in 2009 and subsequently began his undergraduate studies at Uşak University. He completed his bachelor’s degree in 2013 and started his master’s program at Anadolu University in the same year. In 2017, he earned his master’s degree with a thesis titled “The Effects of Serious Games on Fourth-Grade Students’ Academic Achievement, Motivation, and Problem-Solving Skills in Science Education.” The educational digital game used in this study was developed by Özer himself.
In 2017, he commenced his doctoral studies at İstanbul University and successfully completed his Ph.D. in 2023. His doctoral dissertation, titled “The Effects of Virtual Reality Applications in Primary School Science Education,” focused on the integration of VR technologies into science teaching. The virtual reality application used in his doctoral research was also designed and developed by him.
Özer’s research interests include educational digital games, virtual reality applications, and technology-enhanced learning processes. He has taken part in several Erasmus+ projects, actively contributing to software development processes, and has participated in various national and international research projects. He continues to serve as a researcher in ongoing projects in these fields.
