KAYA KILIÇ

In 1992, he was accepted into the Clarinet Department at the Anadolu University State Conservatory. From 1993 to 1996, he studied at Montgomery Brewbaker Jr. High School in Alabama, USA, and then at Gymnasium College in Koblenz, Germany. He returned to Turkey in 1997 and continued his education at the Anadolu University State Conservatory. From 2002 to 2004, he performed as a guest artist with the Bursa Regional State Symphony Orchestra and the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Theater. In 2004, he performed with the Anadolu University Youth Symphony Orchestra in a concert in Cologne, Germany. Kaya Kılıç graduated from Anadolu University with an honors degree that same year, passed the Master's exam, and began his postgraduate studies at Anadolu University. In 2005, he participated in masterclasses with world-renowned clarinetists Alain Damien, Nicolas Baldeyrou, and Sarah Elbaz. In 2005, he passed the exam held by Anadolu University Symphony Orchestra and was appointed as principal clarinet of the orchestra. During his education, he performed many recitals, chamber music and orchestra concerts. In 2006, he transferred to the Wind and Percussion Instruments Master's program at Istanbul Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. In 2011, he started the Proficiency in Arts Program with Dr. Lecturer Ebru Mine Sonakın at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory. In July 2013, he gave concerts as the principal clarinet in 6 countries as part of the Balkan Tour with Anadolu University Symphony Orchestra. He successfully completed the Proficiency in Arts Program in 2013. He was entitled to give concerts with Anadolu University Symphony Orchestra as a soloist in 2016 and 2022. The artist who received the title of Associate Professor in 2018. Between 2017 and 2024, he gave numerous successful concerts both domestically and internationally, particularly in Vienna and Romania, with the Anatolian Clarinet Quintet, of which he is the founder and soloist. He was awarded the Makele Performance Awards by Anadolu University for his international articles in 2022 and 2023. Kaya Kılıç, who received the title of Professor in 2024, is a faculty member at the Anadolu University State Conservatory and is frequently invited as a guest clarinetist by State Symphony Orchestras.
