Lect. ÖZGE GÜNCAN

Biography

She was admitted to Anadolu University State Conservatory Piano Art Major in 1993. Throughout her education, she studied under Robert FARKAS and graduated. She performed in 4th Young Talents Chamber Music Festival organized by İzmir Dokuz Eylül Universty in 2000. She was invited to France after she had won France Belfort Festival in 2001. She was a student of Prof. Zöhrap ADIGÜZELZADE during her post graduate piano studies. She completed her post graduate study in September in 2010.

She composed and sang a nursery rhyme called “Orman Biziz, Biz Ormanız” (The Forest is Us, We are The Forest) in a project called “Orman Biziz, Biz Ormanız” as a part of TÜBİTAK Science and Society Projects Support Programs in 2011.

Özge GÜNCAN has been performing concerts with Associate Professor Lilian Maria TONELLA TÜZÜN as “Anadolu Duo” since 2008. She was invited to VII^th and VIII^thInternational “We Gather Together” Music Festival which was organized in Moscow as the only Turkish Pianist, in two consecutive years, in 2014 and 2015 and performed concerts both individually and with duo. She was also invited to Marsyas International Culture, Art and Music Festival in 2015 and performed duo concerts. She was awarded “The Musical Encouragement Prize” by Anadolu University as a part of “Science, Art and Encouragement Awards” in 2016. She performed a concert with strings and wind instruments chamber music band as a part of “Musique Modeme” project in 2017.

She completed her proficiency in arts studies under the supervision of Prof. Serla BALKARLI in July 2023. She has been working as an academic member in Anadolu University State Conservatory Piano Art Major since 2002.
